Offering cost savings, environmental benefits and excellent quality, Fujifilm’s water washable flexo plate solution is transforming label production. Fujifilm is demonstrating how its Flenex FW water washable flexo plate solution is helping label printers.

Flenex FW provides high print quality and productivity while significantly lowering the cost in use compared to thermal, solvent or other water wash technologies. In addition to offering label and packaging printers the opportunity to boost their speed and productivity, Flenex FW also boasts environmental credentials. Having been launched at Labelexpo 2015, Flenex FW has seen a steady uptake from flexo printers and reprographic houses, with its durability, quality, low cost-in-use and its environmental credentials all contributing to its appeal.

UK reprographic house MPH Ltd supplies flexo plates to label and packaging printers across the UK with a 24-hour turnaround time. Having invested in Fujifilm’s Flenex FW solution in October 2016, MPH is clear on the benefits it provides. “It ticks all the right boxes,” says MPH business development manager Craig Alderson. “It’s a premium product at an affordable price, it has great ink transfer and high durability on long runs, and we think it’s the perfect flexo plate product for the broad range of customers we deal with.”

He is also clear on the environmental advantages it provides: “The fact that you can wash the plate with nothing more than water and dishwasher tablets means that it’s probably the most environmentally friendly plate product on the market today.”
